Secondly, why can't anyone have a decent debate anymore? With the presence of media so strong, elections are no longer won based on what people think the candidates political agenda will do to help/harm the country. They are won because people think that the individual they vote for thinks like them and is on their side. The result is pretty frustrating because a) you get some real wack jobs running in the elections just for their shock value or speaking skills and b) the majority of the current campaigns are consisting of scoffing at and straight up slandering the opposition instead of addressing actual issues with their opinions, principles, and plans of action so that voters can make informed decisions.
Thirdly and lastly, I am frustrated enough to want to slap somebody at the apparent perception among so many different people that the party they do not vote for really is inherently evil/responsible for all problems/going to wreck America. Well-informed voters are very unlikely to agree completely with the candidate/party they are voting for on every single issue. I think it's wrong that everyone points to the presidents of the party they aren't on as the root cause of all the social, bureaucratic, or economic problems that came about during their general era.
And rant over. *mic drop*
